The Neutral Zone is returning to the market this week. A newly formed band, The Neutral Zone prides itself on being neutral...that means their music is un-racial, un-political and un-religious. You'll find Dan Labrador on acoustic guitar and vocals, Will Adams on bass and keyboards, and Joan Hammond also signing vocals. Think Jim Croce, John Denver and James Taylor. In other words... great background music that you can sing along to! If you would like to book The Neutral Zone for your next party or gig, contact Dan @ 804-347-6183. If you know of a band or solo artist who would like to play at the market, please email us or call us @ 804-314-9141.
Saturday is our Marketeers Club Day, and we have some very special kids participating! Marketeer Club vendors are kids aged 6-16 who have grown or made the products they bring to market. We certainly hope you will support these young farmers and entrepreneurs by purchasing products from them. Look for the Marketeer Club Vendor sign at their booth! If you are interested in participating in our Marketeers Club, please contact us!

The Goochland Chamber of Commerce invites you to a Business After Hours Social at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 1484 Hockett Road in Manakin Sabot on Thursday, October 30th, from 5:30-7:30pm. Please come by and meet Reverend John Maher (who you may remember from the Blessing of the Animals at the market) and members of St. Francis Church. View the beginning of their community garden to benefit the Goochland Food Pantry. Appetizers, wine and networking for business and community. Click here for directions!
We're partnering with the Goochland County Parks & Rec Department during the Winter/Spring Quarter in 2015, so watch for our upcoming announcement (we have over 20 new classes scheduled)! We have a couple of classes coming up soon in the kitchen, though. Our Thai One On Class is scheduled for Monday, October 27th, and our "Potager's Journey" 12-Month Soup Series begins on Monday, November 10th. Space is limited for these classes, so sign up fast! Click here to register for classes. Got an idea for a food product that you'd like to take to market, but don't know where to start? Or - maybe you'd like to teach a class in the kitchen! Give us a call...we can help turn your dreams into reality! If you are interested in renting the kitchen facility by the hour, visit the Cook 'N Nook website or our Facebook page for details, or email the Kitchen Manager.
