Toasting & Jamming!

Join us for Toast & Jam!
It's our very last market of the season this Saturday! Come join us for Toast and Jam! Rick Hollowell will be jamming for us this week, and we'll have toast and jam samples to munch on from our very own Friedman Challah, Great Harvest Bread Company, Kipps Grapes and Agriberry. Kids can paint their own mini-pumpkins! We have a great line-up of local vendors at Central Virginia's most authentic farmers market. Come join us at our "Rural Oasis next to the Concrete Jungle" every Saturday from 9am-1pm through the end of October. Come celebrate the end of the season with us!  Make sure to visit our website for details.

One more Saturday to go, and I'm so glad the weather will cooperate! It's always better to go out on a high note. Our Tuesday market finished up this week, too. It really has been a great season, except for the occasional rain and/or wind storm!

I'm working really hard on a plan to be able to hire a Market Manager for next year's markets.  I've been doing this for ten years now, and it's time for me to step back. In order to do this, we have to do some RVAG board development and some fund raising. We have some very cool plans for this winter! I won't be stepping out of the picture completely...just need someone else to take over some of the planning and market development, as well as the getting up every Saturday for six months straight!

I'd love to speak with you about being a part of a market committee or potentially a part of our board. If the market means something to you, please think of how you may want to give back and be more involved next season. Feel free to give me a call or email me to discuss your ideas!

See you at the market, or in the kitchen!
