KID'S ACTIVITY
Well...its a Pumpkin Party, so our illustrious Special Events Coordinator, Beth Hopkins, will be there helping the kids decorate (drum roll...) PUMPKINS!  Stop by the picnic table area to join the fun.  Make one to take home - or make two or three...we have LOTS of Pumpkins!  We've also got several of our Marketeers Club members (kids aged 6-16) who are offering their homemade, homegrown or hand-crafted items for our market customers.  Look for the Marketeers Club sign and please support our young farmers and entrepreneurs!

Chef Laura
CHEF'S DEMOS
Chef Laura Payne of Gourmet Your Way, Personal Chef Service, will be cooking up some pumpkin risotto and some pumpkin mini-muffins, and maybe a few other treats for us to sample this Saturday! Gourmet Your Way has been creating great meals and great memories for more than seven years. Call Gourmet Your Way @ 804-514-6812, or email Chef Laura today for a free in-home consultation. You don’t need to worry about a thing. We take care of all the details, from menu planning to preparation to clean up. We fix our prices up front and we never charge hidden fees.  Take back the family dinner hour!  It’s more affordable than you think.

Visit The Local Agrarian!
The Local Agrarian will once again be cooking up locally sourced, freshly prepared (by Nadolski's Butcher Shop) breakfast sausage with pasture raised fresh eggs on bread or plate (cheese optional) from 9-11. Michele will also have some fresh stew cookin' for lunch featuring Sunnyvale grass fed ground beef and market fresh veggies, served with three potato/pumpkin fritters on top for $5!  The soup will be made from homemade veggie/vegan stock.  While you're chowing down, check out information about the Big Green Egg locally from our sponsor - Outdoor Kitchen Creations!  Be sure to take home some of The Local Agrarian's custom spices and gluten free pizza crusts, too!

MUSIC AT THE MARKET
Listen Online!
Market favorite Phil Julian will be entertaining us this week at the market.  Phil has been writing and performing both Christian music and comedy, sometimes simultaneously, depending on the venue, since 1970.  Phil’s music covers a broad spectrum of styles covering country, folk, contemporary, soft rock, and traditional style hymns. No screaming, no fuzz tones, no jumping off the stage, just a foot tapping rhythm, good down-home acoustical picking, and a message you can take home in your heart. Good listening. His siblings all have the same type of humor, probably genetical, which pops out in spite of any attempts to restrain it and in spite of his Christian convictions. The nut doesn't fall far from the tree. Originally from Seattle, Phil has lived near Richmond, Virginia since 1994.  Contact Phil by email for bookings.  If you know of a band or solo artist who would like to play at the market, please email us or call us @ 804-314-9141.

A singer/songwriter, he also has a sizable collection of original songs comprised of everyday life narratives and poetic ballads. Wayne Ruotolo's first exposure to a Richmond audience was at the Cock & Bull in Richmond's Northside opening for Page Wilson. As an English major at the Virginia Commonwealth University, he began to explore the possibility of a career in music. Throughout the eighties and early nineties, he played at many colleges and universities in Virginia. After receiving his Bachelor of Art he concentrated his efforts on music full time.  To book Wayne for your next party or special occasion, message him on Facebook or call him @ (804)240-6908.  If you know of a band or solo artist who would like to play at the market, please email us or call us @ 804-314-9141.
